The Most Annoying Christmas Songs

For a couple years now, every November we get treated to 24/7 Christmas music from certain stations.  Some think it's too early and some look forward to that day. There's even countdowns until the station switches over to X-mas music.  This year, I was excited but decided not to tune in until after Thanksgiving was over.  As much as I love Christmas songs, there are certain songs which I detest and cannot stand.  I often think of how cool it would be if we could write a list of songs for radio station to never play again (Living La Vida Loca, Despasito, Don't Stop Believing, Enter the Sandman) based on their constant rotation.  During Christmastime, there are songs that are just bad, not necessarily because they are played a lot, but because they are boring, tedious or annoying.  I hope I don't upset Jesus, a lot of the songs on this list are about His birth.  I love Jesus but these songs do Him a disservice.  Here's the list:

 5.  Do You Hear What I Hear? --- Ugh, I wish I didn't, for the rest of my life.

 4.  Little Drummer Boy--  Play a new tune, or grow up boy.  Way too many "Rum pum pum pums"
for one song.  It's stuff like this that makes people like T-Pain rhyme Wisconsin with mansion.

 3.  NOEL - I still don't know what that name has to do with Jesus or Christmas.  It spells Leon backwards per a cool Home Improvement Christmas episode.  You know, the one where Brad was going to take off skiing for Christmas with his friends but Tim caught him  and he suprised his mom at church.  yeah, that episode has the gay kid from Little
Rascals in it.

2. It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year-  It would if you would shut up.  Besides the annoying repetitiveness what ruined this song for me was a stupid Staples commercial where they played this song during Summer for Back to School.  Sacrilegious if you think about it. I may have won Jesus back with this one. See the stupid commercial below:

1.  Feliz Navidad- This one.  this one right here.  So many geeks think it's so clever and different because a lot of it is in Spanish. Brent has it on his Christmas mix because he can practice his Spanish in a fun way with Tegan and Bill.  Growing up in the 80's in California this song was everywhere every December.  Hey Shelly, did you know Jose Feliciano has other songs? Yeah, including a decent cover of  Light My Fire

Honorable Mention:  Any Christmas song by Johnny Mathis and Celine Dion should be made into audio sin requiring confession   Anytime you purposely listen to  Celine sing Oh Holy Night go run in Christmas Shopping traffic.  Do us all a favor and bring your friend who loves the Johnny Mathis' version of It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas.
