"I'm just crazy about this store."

First of all, just look at that artwork, talk about attention grabbing,  A lot of the times, the artwork has nothing to do with what happen sin the movie but in this case, I can confirm that the images above appear in the film.  I found out about this movie on Tik-Tok of all places, all the kid had to say was 80's horror and Sam Raimi and I was interested.
Intruder starts off slow and then the violence, gore and suspense starts, it's what presumptuous film forks call a "slow burn."  It takes place in a grocery store with a "Ranch Market" sign outside which reminded me of several Ranch Market  grocery stores from my hometown.  The gist of the story is a girl 's ex boyfriend who got out of prison interrupts the workday of the store employees, manhandles his ex girlfriend and makes her bleed.  This gentleman's name is Craig and he seems to be an alien of an MMA fighter from 2020 because it takes four guys to restrain him and he still gets away.  Eventually, they catch him and throw him out of the store while they wait for the police.  The cops finally arrive and they are bumbling bufoons and soon after that people start disappearing and being murdered.  The killer is not clearly seen but we are persuaded to think it's Craig, the violent and bad ex-boyfriend.  Like a lot of bad dudes in the 80's the viewer can tell he's bad because he is wearing a leather jacket.  There's a twist at the end that I will be nice enough to not spoil.  I am nicer than the people who made the movie because they spoiled the whole movie in a lot of the posters for the film.
The cinematographer and probably director decided to use a lot of interesting camera angles to record things. From a shot through the bars of a shopping cart to a high angle shot overlooking the store.  Side note, it was really nice to see old packaging of products like cereal, laundry soap and also a TV Guide from 1988.  The murders start off almost comically and in a Hitchcockian style where you never really see anything break the skin.  Additionally, when the first woman gets stabbed, a close up shot of an employee cutting a watermelon in half is inserted which makes the sequence funny.  Eventually, these after shots stop and we are able to relish each additional death.  I will not spoil the film but I will say that the ending is not a happy one and is a bit frustrating because it is a cliffhanger and we don't know what the fate of the protagonists will be.  Also, please go watch  Intruder and see a young Bruce Campbell play a cop
